Musana a web based MP3 player
I was able to secure myself a beta login for the first private Beta of the new Music locker provider Musana. The idea behind this service is that you can upload your MP3 files to the Musana.com website and then from the browser based player you are able to listen to your music anywhere that you can get out to the internet.
The site at the moment is very bare bones and has no advertising on it yet. I have experenced some slowness to my laptop when trying to upload files to the site when using Fedora 7and Firefox. I am yet to test if the same issues exist when uploading in Windows. Also the storage is unlimited and you are able to make your own playlists to listen to.
You are able to test out the player on the front page of Musana.com to get a feel for how it works and at the time of writing there were still 2606 accounts left to apply for in this first public Beta.
These types are services are great for people who do not have the space or access to there
work PC's to take music to work as you can listen to music as long as you have access to the Internet. this could also become a great way to take you Music to parties as if you are like me CD's always go missing when you take them to a party. All in all for the early stages of beta Musana.com works and does what it says it will do with only tiny hiccups. i cannot wait to see what they are going to do next with the service. So get in while you can and try it out for yourself.
